What is Camp Surefire?

Camp Surefire is an overnight camp program specifically designed for children and teens with type 1 diabetes.

When is camp?

Summer Camp will be held June 25 -30, 2017. Please subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Facebook for updates.

Where is camp?

Camp is held at the URI W. Alton Jones campus in West Greenwich, RI.

Do you have a day camp option?

No. We are a residential camp and do not offer a day camp program.

How much does it cost to attend Camp Surefire?

Summer camp tuition is $600 (for campers ages 6-15). Second year LIT applicants receive a reduced tuition of $300 for their second year. There is a  $25 registration fee for all campers, LITs and Junior Counselors.

Is Financial Aid available?

Financial aid “camperships” are available for children with diabetes who without assistance would not be able to attend Camp Surefire. The Camp Surefire Foundation determines financial aid using the federal income eligibility guidelines for the National School Lunch Program and on a case-by-case basis. 

If you are applying for a campership, we will email you the financial aid form after you complete the online registration.
