The tuition and fees for one camper to attend the week-long summer camp session is $625. Because Camp Surefire is run primarily by a volunteer staff and secures many in-kind donations, the camp is able to keep costs low when compared to similar diabetes camps. At the same time, the $625 camp fee is still out of reach for many families.
In 2016, the Camp Surefire Foundation provided full or partial need-based “Camperships” to more than 70% of our camper and LIT families. No child has ever been denied the camp experience because of a family’s inability to pay. Fundraising efforts, grant requests, and individual and corporate donations make this possible.
Campership donations may be made in any amount. For example,
- $100 would sponsor a teen to attend our Teen Winter Camp program
- $300 would support a partial campership for a family unable to afford the full tuition
- $600 would generously sponsor a camper to attend our summer camp program.
